Derren Brown Ghost Train Delayed
The opening date of Thorpe Park’s latest attraction Derren Brown’s Ghost Train has been postponed.
In typical British fashion, the first journey on the train simulator experience will be delayed. Whilst no new date has been provided by parent company Merlin Entertainments, the provided explanation is due to perfecting the Derren Brown ride experience.
A different source however has claimed this is due to ‘additional safety checks’. Thorpe Park have released the following statement online;
After careful consideration we’re moving the opening date for Derren Brown’s Ghost Train. This attraction is a completely new invention and we are making final tweaks to the remaining elements to get things absolutely perfect. We want you guys to have the full mind-blowing experience from the very first time you ride!
Please know that this decision was not taken lightly as we know [guests] booked tickets to ride in anticipation of the 6 May opening date, and the last thing we want to do is disappoint.
The park have also said they will make arrangements for customers who have booked tickets for the original May 6th opening date, who are contactable by email. Further information can be found on the Thorpe Park website.
Note: At time of writing, no replacement opening date has been announced.
