The iconic heritage amusement park will reopen later this month without its headlining attraction.

The park confirmed via email that the restored trains on Britain’s oldest roller coaster aren’t yet completed, and that the Scenic Railway will therefore not be opening on Friday 19 June.

Despite the saddening news, the rest of the park will open as normal, including the seventeen restored rides, the pleasure gardens, amusement arcades and the roller-disco.

Dreamland are offering complementary tickets to guests who have already purchased them ahead of the grand reopening.

Not only will tickets purchased for the grand opening still be valid, but guests will be permitted to enter the park on any date once the restoration of the Scenic Railway is complete.

The heritage amusement park will reopen on Friday 19 with an ‘Opening Night Hullabaloo’, complete with musical acts such as Chas ‘n Dave, The Miniscule of Sound and Marina and the Diamonds.
