The adventure theme park brand are set to open an additional park next February.

The brand new Diggerland is set to open in Evesham, Worcestershire in February 2016 as part of a multi-million pound redevelopment of the Evesham Country Park.

Set to be renamed ‘The Valley’, the Evesham Country Park’s redevelopment will feature several highly prolific retailers overlooking the River Avon.

This new Diggerland will be the fifth of its kind in the country, and also the first based in the Midlands.

With sites already in Devon, Durham, Kent and Yorkshire, the Diggerland brand is already notable for adding a unique and quirky way to amuse its guests with a range of exclusive rides, attractions and the ability to drive various vehicles on unforgiving terrain.

In a press release,  CEO Hugh Edeleanu commented: “With Diggerland hitting all four corners of the UK at the moment, we have been planning a move to the Midlands for quite some time.

When we discovered Evesham Country Park (The Valley), we jumped at the chance to get on board. The location is undergoing an impressive re-brand itself and we are delighted to be a part of it. Diggerland is excited to be opening the new Midlands park in February 2016.”

When opened, the park will feature various rides and attractions including the popular ‘Spindizzy’, ‘Groundshuttle’ and ‘Skyshuttle’ incarnations that feature at its other parks.

The first park opened in Kent in 2000, and the presence of Diggerland has gradually expanded over the country since. The park has also crossed the Atlantic in the form of DiggerlandUSA, situated in West Berlin, NJ.
