Merlin has today revealed the mystery attraction planned for County Hall: a midway attraction based on Dreamwork’s Shrek.

the busSpeculation has surrounded the attraction since Merlin submitted a planning application, with many believing it would be Shakespeare’s England.

The attraction will feature a Shrek walkthrough adventure as well as the opportunity to meet Shrek and co. in the Character Courtyard.

Six themed attractions based on DreamsWorks films will be rolled out by Merlin over the next nine years.

The CEO of DreamWork’s Animation, Jeffrey Katzenberg, added:

“We’re excited to work with Merlin to build something that we think is going to be a singularly unique way to experience Shrek and his world. This attraction is going to be unlike anything that currently exists and will undoubtedly become a new type of destination for families.”
