Lightwater Valley The UltimateYorkshire’s Lightwater Valley is set to expand, after plans for accommodation were green lighted.

106 chalets will be created onsite at a newly rebranded ‘Lightwater Resort’, alongside new sports facilities at a cost of £5million. It is expected the development will create 50 jobs, and will remain open during the winter season.

A similar development application was refused in 2008, which included over double the capacity currently approved by Harrogate Borough Council.

The holiday units will be located between The Wave pirate ship’s scenic waterfall and The Pub in the Woods catering location on the outskirts of the amusement park.
