The WWW at BPB

At Blackpool Pleasure Beach, wifi is being rolled out slowly to key venues within the 42-acre amusement park. Free internet access was first installed at the park’s Ice Lounge coffee shop underneath the Flying Machines back in Summer this year.

Following this move, wifi is now available to park guests at The Arena – home to the Hot Ice Show, a bar/cafe and daily ice skating sessions.

App-y Times

Also suitable for smartphone users is a brand new app released by Alton Towers’ marketing team this week. Just in time for Halloween, the Scarefest app provides details of all four scare mazes, shows and queuetimes.

To help with busting boredom, a fun ‘Scarefest Sounds’ section allows younger visitors to create their own Scarefest mix using the park’s scary mascots and other sound effects.

Handsets operating on iOS (Apple) and Android are compatible with the release.
