Hot Ice offers an Enticing night out

Returning for another year, Hot Ice is one of the finest shows of its type in the world.

The show itself has more than a dash of history to it – with the first production taking place at the Pleasure Beach in 1937, a variety of themes and routines have entertained audiences over the years. However, Hot Ice itself has progressed over the decades from fairytales on ice to a mix of indulgent acts catering for a wider audience in 2012.

This year’s production of Hot Ice features a wide variety of acts to the Arena, with music tracks varying from the blues to techno and even several tribal numbers.

Holding over a decade of experience in directing ice productions, Amanda Thompson has finely tuned the Hot Ice show, creating a spectacular production that is sure to entice audiences. Numerous effects such as strobes, lasers and dramatic colour changes help to caress the mood and atmosphere in which the skaters are attempting to portray.

With a prestigious show in the balance, the international cast comprises of skaters at the top of their game. Both Olympic medal winners and homegrown ice divas are represented amongst those gracing the rink, with Dancing on Ice star Katie Stainsby being a familiar face. Whilst there is the occasional slip, choreographed swift manoeuvres and near misses add to the spectacle.
