Underground marketing commences with Forbidden tweets

Alton Towers have started lifting the lid off for the upcoming attraction Nemesis: Sub-Terra which is set to open to thrill-seekers and adventurers later this year.

A new Twitter account has today been set up under the name of @PhalanxControl, which is set to give a constant stream of updates leading up to the ride’s launch on March 24th 2012.

At the time of writing this article, two photographic updates have been posted of the main ride area floor, and also one of ‘Specialist equipment has been deployed for underground search purposes’ [See Right] , which is thought to refer to one of the drop towers for the upcoming experience.Marketing for the attraction so far has been rather low-key, with very little information released about the type of attraction or for what visitors to the park can expect next year.

The Twitter account has been confirmed as being run by the park’s marketing team, and is to be the primary source of Nemesis: Sub-Terra news for the next few months leading up to the main season.
