Merlin Entertainments have removed some restrictions from their standard annual pass, allowing holders to access some attractions during peak times in 2012.

Following feedback from current holders of the product, Merlin have made some minor changes to date restrictions. These include now allowing Standard Pass holders into Legoland Windsor during August and also into The Blackpool Tower attractions (including Ballroom, Tower Eye, Jungle Jims and Blackpool Tower Dungeon) during October. These remove restrictions that were in place in 2011 due to these being peak periods of the year for both Windsor due to the summer season, and Blackpool due to the ever-popular Illuminations.

Along with this, Merlin have announced a re-design to the unlimited drinks capsule that is purchasable for Merlin Annual Pass holders and a new look newsletter for the upcoming year. Merlin Entertainments have confirmed changes to the Standard pass in no way affect Premium Passholders.
