Rocket Racers’ Last Lego Rally

Legoland Windsors’ Rocket Racers attraction has officially closed today, after defying the HD revolution in computer gaming for many years. Located close to the park entrance’s ‘The Beginning’ area, the ride consisted of both a pre-show and an arcade style racing attraction.

An official statement from Legoland Windsor read “Rocket Racers officially closes next Monday (10th October)!  We have an exciting new attraction taking its place next March.

From 2000 onwards, Rocket Racers allowed guests to design a racing car and driver in a pre-show area, before putting their new Lego creations to the test in a race with friends and family.

The ride often struggled with capacity due to it’s location and popularity – and closed for a four year period between 2004 and 2008, before then reopening to visitors the following year.

The official Rocket Racers attraction page can still be accessed here.
