Alton Towers have now been given the go ahead to start work on their new attraction for 2012, after their planning application was approved with conditions yesterday by Staffordshire Moorlands District Council.
Staff at Chessington World of Adventures Resort joined forces with colleagues from other Merlin-owned theme parks and got on their bikes for what was the ultimate cycle challenge, all in aid of Merlin’s Magic Wand Charity.
The Camping and Caravanning Club has partnered with Drayton Manor Theme Park, near Tamworth in Staffordshire, to operate its campsite. The 90-pitch full-facility site will open on Thursday, March 29, 2012 and will be located within easy walking distance of the theme park’s entry gates.
Lightwater Valley have now announced their admission prices for next year, including a ‘no loose change’ pricing strategy where all prices are rounded to the nearest pound and an ‘Ultimate Ticket’ – which allows guests to cut the queue in exchange for an increased admission price.
Legoland Windsors’ Rocket Racers attraction is to officially close tomorrow, after defying the HD revolution in computer gaming for many years. Located close to the park entrance’s ‘The Beginning’ area, the ride consisted of both a pre-show and an arcade style racing attraction.
Pleasure Beach Blackpool’s Gold Mine attraction is set for a redevelopment for 2012 as work commenced on the ride’s exterior – and the ride now being closed on a permanent basis. As work commenced, we managed to get some photos as new fences went up…
